5,000 Jews live in Ulyanovsk, Russia. It is a very poor city, and the Jews are struggling to make ends meet/ For nearly 100 years this city did not have a rabbi, and the Jewish community was on the brink of losing its identity. They are in desperate need both materially and spiritually. Our center proudly hosts: a synagogue, kosher café, library, store for Judaic items and kosher food, preschool facilities and classrooms. |
