August 13, the international camp "Unity of Nations" started on the basis of the Ulyanovsk Jewish community.
The camp is held for the third year and is an excellent project to preserve the culture and traditions of the people living in the Ulyanovsk region.
Within 2 weeks, 30 children got acquainted every day with the culture and traditions of different nationalities living in the Ulyanovsk region: Russian, Chuvash, Tatars, Jews, Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Vietnamese and Uzbeks. Visited museums, parks and a cinema, located in walking distance.
The program of the camp was composed in such a way that during the day the children would actively join the cultural environment, get acquainted with customs, master traditional crafts and play national games. The camp participants exchanged family traditions and were able to share new knowledge in their families.
