Chief Rabbi Yosef Marozov and Great mufti Sovbyan Suleymanov met on September 15th to sign an Association Agreement.
This agreement confirms enduring friendship of these religious communities. Both leaders pointed out that Judaic and Muslim philosophies on world-wide values have a lot in common, and differences in faiths absolutely cannot be a reason of discord between two communities.
“The agreement secures good feelings between communities, between religions. This kind of agreement is the first one to be signed throughout all Russia”, said Sovbyan Suleymanov.
In honor of the upcoming Jewish New Year the Rabbi has blown the shofar for the crowd.
