To inspire people without speaking their language may seem impossible to some, but Dovid Katz and JJ Hecht were determined to give it their best! They set out for the city of Dmitrovgrad, Russia with a grill, some food, and an incredible attitude. After setting up the BBQ, the bochurim spoke about the Lubavitcher Rebbe: his incredible love for every Jew, the value of a single mitzvah, and the impact one person can have on the world. Long after the food was gone, the participants stayed on. They asked the bochurim to come back for Rosh Hashana and run services with them. As Olga Bachkova said, “I haven’t felt so inspired in… forever! I am going to treasure the memory of this evening and pray that we can do this again soon!”
