Mr. Lifshits was among the founding fathers and the President of our community for 20 years.
He first began his work in the spring of 1989, at a time that was difficult and dangerous for Jews. He did a lot for our community, he helped Jews reconnect to their traditions.

Many people have gathered to celebrate his first Yahrtzeit, to remember Mr. Lifshits and to pay tribute to such a special man. The crowed answered Amen to the Kadish that was recited by Yosef Mikhailovich Lifshits, the son of Mr. Lifshits who traveled in from Kazan for this day. May his memory be a blessing.
