This summer, a number of boys and girls were sent to overnight camp “Gan Yisroel”, which was located near Nizhniy Novgorod. The camp was for children from all the communities in the Volga part of Russia. Recently, a group of girls returned from the girl’s session with great excitement! They spoke of the fun time they had and all the new lessons they learned. For some of these girls, it was the first Jewish experience in their lives! Many girls were inspired to light Shabbos candles every Friday night. As a result of camp, 2 girls and 2 boys will attend Jewish boarding schools in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Israel!
