The Jewish center of Ulyanovsk established a humanitarian campaign to help children from impoverished, single-parent and large families. With the support of the Fellowship Foundation (IFCJ) these families will receive food parcels on a monthly basis.
Over 100 needy Jewish children received the first of the food packages already before the Shavuot holiday. Each of the food parcels included kosher turkey, oil, pasta, rice, buckwheat, apple juice, milk, canned sprats, canned corn, green peas, olives and tomato sauce.
For many families in our community it can be a big struggle to put food on the table. Thank G-d this month these families need not worry!
The recipients expressed deep thanks to the Fellowship Foundation under the directorship of Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein and the Jewish community of Ulyanovsk under the leadership of Chief Rabbi of Ulyanovsk Yosef Morozov.
