On the 19th of July, over 100 children from the Ulyanovsk region were able to go to “Kids World” and pick out clothing.

“Kids World” is the largest chain store of children’s clothing in Russia. They sell clothes for infants, children, and even teenagers! Many needy families from Ulyanovsk have been helped out with clothes for the new school year. Some children picked out shoes while others picked out coats, jackets, shirts, pants, skirts, socks etc. For many of these children, it was the first time they went to a store and chose clothing! To many families it seemed too much like a fantasy. They didn’t believe that it was true, until they held the bags of clothes and shoes in their hands! This program was in effect for a week. Every day, people would go to the store and chose clothes and/or shoes. The store held their bags until the evening, when Yossi would pay them and bring all the bags to the Jewish center. On the 28th of July, all of these children came with their parents to pick up their bags from the Jewish Center of Ulyanovsk.

Most of the children came from Ulyanovsk city; while others were from Barizh, Inza, Noviulyanovsk, Staraya Mayna, and Staroye–Tomishovo, all towns in the Ulyanovsk Region.
